I'm a nationally certified career counselor in private practice who loves to help people find themselves in terms of their career dreams or life purpose. A career-changer myself, I empathize with anyone suffering from career confusion, lack of purpose, and job misery. My mission is to help others forge a plan for discovering their “dream job" or "dream life” and then making it happen.

Originally a computer programmer, I spent 17 years in Corporate America growing progressively more unhappy with my work. I knew it wasn't "me", but I didn't know how to find something better. After finally seeking help from a career counselor, I was re-energized by discovering my true self, and returned to college with the intent of learning how to help others avoid the misery I had experienced. For the past 12 years, I have assisted adults with their career-related decisions, job searching, educational path planning, and quest for meaningful work. People I've successfully helped have ranged from young adults dissatisfied with their first careers to unfulfilled working professionals to older adults nearing retirement. 

After completing my masters program, I worked at UCSD Extension for 10 years providing one-on-one career counseling and career workshops to the public. I've also been a guest lecturer in the Masters in Counseling graduate program for the University of San Diego on the topics of career assessment and career transitions for mid-life and older adults. Now that I have moved into private practice, UCSD Extension considers me a "preferred career counselor" and refers me to anyone who asks them where to find personalized help with career or job problems.
